About
the Artist
My name is Hallie and I grew up on the beautiful San Juan Islands outside the town of Friday Harbor. From a young age I showed interests in many different creative outlets. I would draw, dance, and daydream my island days away. I was also very drawn to the world of fantasy. I imagined myself as a princess tasked with befriending the dragon that flew near my village, or as a fairy bringing color to the flora and fauna. I read and watched a lot of fantasy stories that built my love for the genre, so when it came to making my own art, I found most of my inspiration from those memories. I started working with pottery in 2023 making hand built pieces, then moved more toward throwing on the wheel in October of 2024. This was when I fell into an obsessive love with the art form, devoting every day to advancing my skill. The feel of clay in my hands and the satisfaction of pulling a finished piece from the kiln will never not enrapture me. I am so thrilled to be sharing my work with my family, friends, and now you!
